Coca‑Cola Enterprises (CCE) is the world's third‑largest independent Coca‑Cola bottler. They are the sole licensed bottler for products of The Coca-Cola Company in the UK and seven other European countries. The Sidcup Factory is a mainstay of the business community and first began production in 1961. It employs over 300 staff producing over 40 million cases of drinks every year, and at peak production it can fill 5,000 bottles and cans every minute.
As a major local employer the Council team maintains an ongoing dialogue with CCE to support their development and needs. The team is currently supporting CCE in respect of their skills requirements and education programmes, which reach into many local schools.

Employing over 300 people at our manufacturing plant, the vast majority of whom live within five miles of the site, we have been impressed by the quality of skills available in the region, demonstrated through our ongoing apprenticeship scheme which currently supports 17 employees on site.”
