National Restrictions Support Grant
Also known as the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) scheme, this support is for ratepaying Businesses forced to close during the most recent national lockdown (between 5 November and 1 December 2020) and is open to applications.
Further information and the application form is available at National Restrictions Support Grant.
Additional Restrictions Grant
The Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG) has been reopened for new applications.
Local businesses that have been severely affected by the pandemic are now encouraged to apply for the latest round the Additional Restriction Grant (ARG). The ARG is a non-repayable grant that has been set up by Bexley Council to help those businesses who would not receive a mandatory grant.
The scheme has been refined to better fit Bexley’s economy and to increase the amount of financial support available to local business owners. The amount of grant available has also increased thanks to additional funding provided by the Government as part of the January lockdown.
The new ARG has been designed to be more flexible for local businesses that don’t fit into the existing categories of grant, allowing them to apply for the support they need to keep going.
Bexley businesses that have already applied to ARG in the first round (ending on 22 January) do not need to re-apply. Applications from the previous round are still being evaluated and businesses will be contacted if successful.
For further guidance and to apply for the grant visit Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG).
Support for businesses
The Government have produced a financial support page to help businesses find out how to access the support that has been made available, who is eligible, when the schemes open and how to apply.
